Heat Pump DryerWorking Principle
A heat pump is essentially a heat amplification device. High-temperature heat pump drying units utilize the reverse Carnot principle to absorb heat from the surrounding environment and transfer it to the object being heated (a warmer object). Their working principle is similar to that of refrigerators, both operating according to the reverse Carnot cycle; the only difference is the working temperature.
High-temperature heat pump dehumidification drying units are mainly composed of four parts: finned evaporator (outdoor unit), compressor, finned condenser (indoor unit), and expansion valve. Through a continuous thermal cycle process of evaporation (absorbing heat from the external environment) → compression → condensation (releasing heat in the indoor drying room) → throttling → re-evaporation, the heat from the low-temperature external environment is transferred to the drying room. The refrigerant circulates within the system under the action of the compressor. It completes the process of gaseous pressurization and temperature increase inside the compressor (up to 100℃), then releases the high-temperature heat to warm the air in the drying room while it cools down and turns into a liquid state. As it reaches the outdoor unit, the liquid rapidly absorbs heat and evaporates back into a gas, with the temperature potentially dropping to 0℃ to -10℃. At this point, the surrounding air of the heat absorber continuously transfers heat to the refrigerant. The heating efficiency of the high-temperature heat pump drying unit is significantly higher than that of other heating equipment, indicating that using this unit as a drying device can save energy and reduce CO2 emissions and other pollutants, achieving the effect of energy conservation and emission reduction.
