简介:Trough Liquid Distributor
A槽-type liquid distributor is a high-performance liquid distributor, used in the feed section of a packed tower. It boasts easy installation, uniform liquid distribution, high density of spray points, and low pressure drop, and is currently widely applied.

Channel liquid distributors are typically composed of a distributing channel (also known as the main channel or primary channel) and a distribution channel (also referred to as the secondary channel or sub-channel). The primary channel initially divides the liquid into several streams through openings at the bottom, distributing them to the lower liquid distribution channels. The bottom (or walls) of the distribution channels are equipped with holes (or conduits) to evenly distribute the liquid over the packing layer. Channel liquid distributors offer high operational flexibility and excellent anti-plugging properties, particularly suitable for separating high gas-liquid loads and liquids containing solid suspended particles, high viscosity, and are widely used. Their excellent distribution and anti-plugging capabilities make them highly applicable.

Trough Liquid Distributor Performance Features
The function of the liquid distributor is to uniformly distribute or redistribute the liquid at the top of the packing or at a certain height, thereby increasing the effective surface for mass and heat transfer, enhancing inter-phase contact, and ultimately improving the efficiency of the tower.
Laboratory tests have proven that the fluid flow within the packed bed is not uniform plug flow, but rather exhibits沟流(gutter flow),偏流(shear flow), and壁流(wall flow) phenomena. This leads to amplification and end effects in the packed tower. The purpose of reasonably designing and selecting liquid initial distributors and redistributors is to minimize and prevent these amplification effects in the packed tower, thereby reducing tower height and diameter, and lowering construction or operational costs.

Poor distribution of liquid within the packing tower is categorized into large-scale and small-scale issues. Small-scale poor distribution is caused by liquid channeling within the packing layer, while large-scale poor distribution is attributed to the liquid distributor, leading to a significant decrease in the tower's efficiency. Tests show that the higher the packing efficiency, the greater the impact of liquid distribution quality on packing performance. For instance, when the liquid distribution quality reaches 50%, the theoretical number of plates per meter of packing, for a packing with a theoretical number of plates equal to 20, is only 11.5, and for packing with a theoretical number of plates equal to 8, it is only 5.5.
The material options for slot liquid distributors include: 304, 316L, carbon steel, PP, and PTFE, etc.
