Product Overview: The 252Y plus metal corrugated plate packing and 250Y stainless steel corrugated plate packing are composed of several corrugated metal sheets arranged parallel and vertically. The sheets have small holes (or may be unperforated as needed), with a corrugation top angle of approximately 90 degrees. The channels formed by the corrugations are at a 45 or 30-degree angle to the vertical. The flow channels between adjacent corrugated sheets are at 90 degrees. The two trays of corrugated packing are rotated 90 degrees and stacked on top of each other, forming whole circular disks with a diameter slightly smaller than the tower's inner diameter within a tower connected by flanges at a smaller diameter. In towers with a larger diameter, each tray of corrugated packing is divided into several pieces, which are inserted into the tower through manholes and assembled into whole circular disks inside. The corrugated sheets of the packing on the two trays are rotated 90 degrees for installation, allowing for thorough mixing of the fluid within the tower.

The 252Y type plus metal perforated plate corrugated packing and the 250Y stainless steel perforated plate corrugated packing are made by stamping various metal thin plates with a thickness of 0.15-0.20mm. The plates are punched with φ4mm small holes and several fine slits about 5mm long, enhancing wettability and potentially allowing bidirectional penetration. The opening rate is approximately 9-12%, and the surface of the perforated plates features a special texture to increase the effective mass transfer area. Their separation capability is similar to that of wire mesh corrugated packing, but they have stronger anti-blocking ability.

The differences between the 252Y type plus metal perforated plate corrugated packing and the 250Y stainless steel perforated plate corrugated packing
A bent piece is the plus hole plate corrugated packing, and the other is the regular hole plate corrugated packing. The plus version offers better flow rates and significantly reduced pressure drop compared to traditional structured packing. For new towers: tower diameter reduced. For existing towers: performance improvement with the same efficiency.
The primary difference lies in the initial distribution performance of the packing material. The one with straight edges is the plus packing, while the latter is the traditional packing. The plus packing excels in both liquid distribution and structural strength compared to the latter, which is more prone to uneven flow during packing operations!
