I. The Function of the Distributor:
The flow of liquid within the packing layer is not uniform plug flow but exhibits channeling, bypassing, and wall flow phenomena. This leads to amplification and end effects in the packed tower. The purpose of a properly designed and selected distributor is to minimize and prevent amplification effects in the tower, thereby reducing tower height and diameter, and lowering construction or operating costs. Poor liquid distribution within the packed tower can be categorized into large-scale and small-scale issues. Small-scale poor distribution is caused by liquid channeling within the packing layer, while large-scale poor distribution is due to the liquid distributor, which can severely decrease the overall efficiency of the tower. Tests indicate that the higher the packing efficiency, the greater the impact of liquid distribution quality on packing performance. For instance, when the liquid distribution quality reaches 50%, the actual theoretical plate number per meter of packing, for a packing with a theoretical plate number of 20, is only 11.5, while for a packing with a theoretical plate number of 8, it is only 5.5.

Section II: Types of Groove Distributors:
304 Stainless Steel Trough Liquid Distributor DN1200 Metal Trough Distributor:
1. The single-stage slot liquid distributor features a compact structure with interconnected slots, ensuring all slots maintain the same level of liquid surface, thereby facilitating uniform liquid distribution. Commonly used in small towers with diameters of 250-1000mm, it can also be employed in large towers when space is limited. Its anti-surge device is identical to that of the main slot in the slot distributor, and the liquid distribution structure can only be of the bottom-hole type.

2. The secondary trough liquid distributor consists of a main trough (primary trough) and a branch trough (secondary trough), with the main trough positioned above the branch trough. Reflux liquid and feed liquid enter the main trough through an inlet pipe located above, and are then proportionally distributed to each branch trough by the main trough. The structural dimensions of the main and branch troughs are determined by the liquid flow rate, tower diameter, and the requirements for distribution quality. Materials include stainless steel grades 301, 304, 304L, 321, 316, 316L, as well as plastic materials such as polypropylene and reinforced polypropylene.

Section 3: Slot Distributor Product Description:
The DN1200 metal channel liquid distributor, also known as a 304 stainless steel channel liquid distributor, is a high-performance liquid distributor. The channel liquid distributor boasts ease of installation, even liquid distribution, high spray point density, and low pressure drop. The channel plate-style gas-liquid distributor combines the advantages of a liquid collector, liquid distributor, and gas distributor, making it widely used.
