This ellipsoid-shaped filler is composed of many circular rings, and due to its high liquid-holding capacity at the gaps, it extends the liquid residence time within the tower, thereby increasing the contact time between gas and liquid phases and enhancing the mass transfer efficiency. It boasts high porosity, low pressure drop and height of mass transfer unit, high flooding point, thorough vapor-liquid contact, low specific gravity, and high mass transfer efficiency, making it widely used in gas washing and purification towers.
