PPS 114040 is a high-temperature-resistant plastic particle material (polysulfone) reinforced with 40% glass fiber, featuring high relative tracking index, excellent toughness, resistance to chemical corrosion, and superior thermal properties. It is primarily used in industries such as automotive, electronics, electrical appliances, and machinery for manufacturing motor parts, precision electrical equipment, connectors, high-strength enclosures, and high-temperature contactors.
PPS Plastic Processing Method
(1) Injection Molding: Standard injection molding machines can be used. The melt flow index for glass fiber reinforced modified polycarbonate sulfide should be around 50. The process conditions for injection molding are as follows: barrel temperature, pure modified polycarbonate sulfide at 280~330°C, 40% GF modified polycarbonate sulfide at 300-350°C; nozzle temperature, pure modified polycarbonate sulfide at 305°C, 40% GF modified polycarbonate sulfide at 330°C; mold temperature, 120-180°C; injection pressure, 50-130 MPa.
(2) Extrusion: Utilizing a vented extruder, the process is as follows: feed section temperature below 200℃; barrel temperature 300-340℃; manifold temperature 320-340℃; die temperature 300-320℃.
(3) Compression Molding: Suitable for large-scale products, using two-stage compression, cooling first, then hot pressing. The preheating temperature for pure modified polycarbonate sulfide in hot pressing is about 360℃ for 15 minutes, and for GF modified polycarbonate sulfide, it is about 380℃ for 20 minutes; the molding pressure is 10~30 Mpa, and the mold is removed after cooling to 150℃.
(4) Spray Molding: Utilizing both suspension spray method and a combination of suspension spray with dry powder thermal spray, the modified polyphenylene sulfide is sprayed onto the metal surface, followed by plasticization and quenching to form the coating. The coating treatment temperature for the modified polyphenylene sulfide is above 300°C, with a holding time of 30 minutes.
