PPS Powder Chemical Resistance: No solvent has been found to dissolve polycarbonate sulfide below 200°C; it has strong resistance to acids, alkalis, and salts. It is not resistant to oxidizing acids, oxidizing agents, aqua regia, hydrogen peroxide, and secondary ones.

PPS containing or glass fiber has an even higher limiting oxygen index, indicating enhanced flame resistance.
