This product is PPS powder, suitable for use in coatings, corrosion protection, and as an additive. Our company offers a long-term and stable supply of PPS powder materials.
PPS powder (polysulfone) is an excellent thermoplastic special engineering plastic with outstanding characteristics of high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and superior mechanical properties.
PPS is a white powder with an average molecular weight of 4,000-5,000 and a density of 1.3-1.8 grams per cubic centimeter.
PPS Powder Chemical Resistance: No solvent has been found to dissolve polycarbonate sulfide below 200°C; it has strong resistance to acids, alkalis, and salts. It is not resistant to oxidizing acids, oxidizing agents, aqua regia, hydrogen peroxide, and secondary ones.
PPS powder boasts excellent radiation resistance, reaching up to Gy 1×10^8, making it a novel material unparalleled by other engineering plastics. It is an ideal material for radiation resistance, particularly in fields such as electronics, electrical, mechanical, instruments, aviation, and aerospace.
The chemical structure of PPS powder itself is quite stable, and it contains flame-retardant elements like sulfur, thus PPS boasts excellent flame resistance. By igniting a test sample and adjusting the flow rates of oxygen and nitrogen, we can observe the combustion. The oxygen concentration that allows the test sample to continue burning is the limiting oxygen index, with a higher value indicating better flame resistance. The limiting oxygen index of pure PPS can reach up to 44, demonstrating excellent flame resistance. PPS containing or glass fiber has an even higher limiting oxygen index, indicating enhanced flame resistance.
