PPS Black Plastic Pellets - Large Stock, Stable Supply, Competitive Pricing, Quality Assured
Polysulfone (PPS) is a new type of high-performance thermoplastic resin with high mechanical strength, high heat resistance, chemical resistance, flame retardancy, good thermal stability, and excellent electrical properties. It is widely used in the fields of electronics, automotive, machinery, and chemical industries.
PPS plastic polycarbonate sulfide, also known as polyphenylsulfide, is a thermoplastic resin with a benzene sulfide group in its molecular backbone. It is a crystalline polymer. Unstretched fibers have a large amorphous region (crystallinity of about 5%), undergo crystallization exotherm at 125°C, and have a glass transition temperature of 150°C; melting point at 281°C. Stretched fibers produce some crystallization during stretching (increasing to 30%), and heat treatment of stretched fibers at temperatures of 130-230°C can increase crystallinity to 60-80%. Therefore, the stretched fibers do not exhibit significant glass transition or crystallization exotherm, with a melting point of 284°C. With the increased crystallinity after heat-setting stretching, the fiber density also correspondingly increases, from 1.33 g/cm³ before stretching to 1.34 g/cm³ after stretching, and up to 1.38 g/cm³ after heat treatment. Molding shrinkage: 0.7%. Molding temperature: 300-330°C.
There are many ways to classify PPS plastics. They are categorized by molecular weight into high, medium, and low molecular weight resins. Based on structure and composition, PPS can be divided into branched, straight-chain, and modified resins.Currently, the market commonly divides resins into three types: injection grade, paint grade, and fiber grade.
Injection-molded PPS boasts excellent processing properties, enhancing dimensional stability and reducing molding shrinkage rate.Injection-molded PPS is widely used in electrical, material manufacturing, and chemical industries, primarily for producing items such as precision electrical connectors, high-temperature contactors, high-temperature electrical components, insulated electrical parts, and corrosion-resistant sealing parts.
