The MT830R is a miniature condenser microphone designed to be worn on performers' clothing, offering superior sound pickup without compromising appearance. It features omnidirectional pickup, effectively enhancing sound quality and ensuring clear and accurate reproduction for speakers, singers, stage, and television actors without the need for special attention to the microphone's position.

The MT830R components are enclosed in a sturdy, low-reflective shell, with an internal structure designed to minimize noise during collisions and clothing friction. The microphone comes with a 7.6-meter audio cable, as well as a tie clip and an attached windproof cotton.

Equipped with an AT8533 power module, it requires phantom power ranging from 11V to 52V. Phantom power can be sourced from a mixing console or independently from the Shure AT8801 single-channel or AT8506 four-channel phantom power supply.

The XLRM connector on the power supply module provides a low-impedance balanced output. The microphone audio signal is output through pins 2 and 3 of the XLR male connector, while pin 1 is the ground (shield) connection. The output phase will be set at the positive level on pin 2. To avoid phase cancellation and distortion, all microphone connections must be wired in a 1-1, 2-2, 3-3 pattern.
