The purpose of waterproofing is primarily to prevent渗漏 affecting downstairs neighbors when using running water in your own home. Therefore, when there are leaks or seepages in your roof, applying waterproofing only to your ceiling is ineffective; it must be done on the ground level of your upstairs neighbor to be effective. Residents on the first floor, although not required to waterproof, can still benefit from moisture and humidity prevention. General waterproofing methods include: leveling the existing ground with cement mortar, then drying it (not damp), followed by applying a double-coated polyurethane waterproofing membrane evenly three times or using modified asphalt or glass fiber mesh for a two-oil-one-fabric treatment. The requirement is for the bathroom walls to be 1.2-1.5 meters high, and the kitchen walls no less than 0.5 meters high, with balconies measured from the height of the exterior window sill. After drying, conduct a water-tightness test, and only proceed with ground construction after confirming no leaks. If the ground or walls of the existing room are damaged, waterproofing treatment and a water-tightness test must be carried out.

Waterproofing and leak repair construction procedure:
1. After the preliminary cleaning is completed, prioritize the treatment of key areas such as the阴阳 corners, expansion joints, and construction joints. Pay special attention to areas like drainage holes that are difficult to paint, which should be reinforced and coated with 2-3 layers of waterproof base paint.
2. Be sure to differentiate between waterproof membranes, waterproof coatings, base coatings, and adhesive membranes. Apply the base coating. To enhance the adhesion between the waterproof membrane and the base, apply the base coating repeatedly, ensuring even and complete coverage, allowing it to penetrate the concrete base thoroughly. This will increase the bonding strength and tensile strength.
3. Waterproof paint must be mixed according to the product's instructions, using a ratio of A:B = 2:1, and the mixing amount should match the actual usage on-site.
4. Ensure the waterproof paint is well-mixed for approximately 3-5 minutes, stirring until the mixed liquid of components A and B is uniformly blended.
5. Apply the well-mixed waterproof coating to the designated area, ensuring the base coat covers more than the area of the adhesive membranes. The coating should be applied within no more than 30 minutes from the end of mixing to the completion of application.
6. After the base coating has been applied and dried for approximately 4-8 hours, reapply the second and third layers of base coating. The application thickness should be 0.5 mm for the second coat, and approximately 0.5 mm for the third coat. It is mandatory to wait until the coating is completely cured before applying the second coat.
7. Wait for the secondary coating to fully cure before bonding the rolls. (The waterproof coating can be applied in multiple coats or sprayed based on the actual project site conditions and thickness requirements; please ensure to complete the application in one go.)
