Electronic recycling, as the name implies, is a compensated old-item disposal service, acquired by authorized old-item recycling stations or companies. After scientific processing and classification of the recycled electronic products, they meet the standards for reuse. Recycling used electronic waste allows for the dismantling of electronic materials, separating and utilizing the electronic components from the waste. It's not uncommon to see people switch their phones or computers annually; a significant amount of precious metals is wasted in electronic waste, but there is still substantial economic value if it's recycled properly. Various metals like gold, copper, silver, titanium, and platinum within the waste have high recyclable value. Plastics and rubbers can also be recycled and reused.

Electronics recycled and sold after repair must comply with mandatory national technical standards for protecting human health and personal and property safety, and must be clearly marked as second-hand. Specific management measures shall be formulated by the commerce主管部门.
