PC boards, also known as polycarbonate boards, polyester boards, or Kapton boards, are resistant to weak acids and are primarily made of polycarbonate, produced using co-extrusion technology. They are resistant to neutral oils but not to strong acids, prolonged exposure, or alkalis; a UV coating is necessary. However, they are heat-resistant and offer excellent light transmittance. PC Sunboards (also known as polycarbonate honeycomb boards, glass Kapton boards, or PC honeycomb boards) are manufactured from high-performance engineering plastic—polycarbonate (PC) resin—and feature high transparency, light weight, impact resistance, sound insulation, heat insulation, flame retardancy, and resistance to aging. They are a high-tech, multi-functional, energy-saving, and environmentally friendly plastic sheet material widely used as a building material internationally.
PC boards generally refer to PC polycarbonate sheets, PC rigid sheets, PC corrugated sheets, and PC skylight sheets, as well as PC composite resin sheets. The polycarbonate sheet is a hollow multi-layer or double-layer interlocking structure. The rigid sheet is a solid board.
