PC boards, also known as polycarbonate boards, polyester boards, or Kapton boards, are resistant to weak acids. They are primarily made of polycarbonate and produced using co-extrusion technology. PC boards are resistant to neutral oils but not to strong acids, alkalis, or prolonged exposure; a UV coating is necessary. However, they are highly resistant to high temperatures and offer excellent light transmission. PC Sunboards (also called polycarbonate hollow boards, glass Kapton boards, or PC hollow boards) are manufactured from high-performance engineering plastic—polycarbonate (PC) resin—and feature high transparency, light weight, impact resistance, sound insulation, heat insulation, flame retardancy, and resistance to aging. They are a high-tech, energy-saving, environmentally friendly plastic sheeting widely used as building materials internationally.
PC boards generally refer to PC polycarbonate sheets, PC rigid sheets, PC corrugated sheets, and PC skylight sheets, as well as PC composite resin sheets. Polycarbonate sheets are hollow, multi-layer or double-layer interlocking structures. Rigid sheets are solid.
