Rubber-lined Diaphragm Valve, Weir-type Rubber-lined Diaphragm Valve, Reciprocating Rubber-lined Diaphragm Valve, Direct-Through Diaphragm Valve without a weir; fluid flows directly through the valve cavity. Due to this feature, it is particularly suitable for certain viscous fluids, cement slurry, and sedimentary fluids. The direct-through diaphragm valve has a longer diaphragm stroke compared to the weir-type diaphragm valve. Consequently, this structure limits the range of synthetic rubber materials that can be chosen for the diaphragm.
Direct acting diaphragm valves have a straight fluid passage, resulting in less fluid loss and less wear. At low pressure, it increases the diaphragm deflection and stress, but also leads to a lower pressure rating.
The rubber-lined diaphragm valve requires minimal operating force and short diaphragm stroke to open and close, thereby reducing the diaphragm's disturbance variables, extending its lifespan, minimizing maintenance and downtime, and lowering production costs, making it the most widely used diaphragm valve.
The valve body of a rubber-lined diaphragm valve can be made from various rubbers depending on the medium it is suitable for, such as diaphragm material rubber or PTFE with a synthetic rubber lining. The diaphragm is connected to the pressure housing, which is then attached to the threaded valve stem. When closing the valve, the diaphragm is compressed, sealing with the body's weir structure, the valve cavity profile, or a specific part within the valve body, depending on the internal structural design.
Structural Features of Lined Diaphragm Valve
1. Elastic sealing components, ensuring no internal leakage.
2. Streamlined channels with minimal pressure loss.
3. No filling bushing, hence no external leakage.
4. The valve body and cover are separated by a diaphragm, ensuring that the valve cover and rod components above the diaphragm are not eroded by the medium.
5. Diaphragms are replaceable, with low maintenance costs.
6. The variety of lining materials, suitable for various mediums, and excellent corrosion resistance.
