38CrMoAl is a high-grade nitriding steel with excellent wear resistance, high fatigue strength, and high strength characteristics. It is primarily used for nitrided parts after heat treatment, or for various parts subjected to low impact loads but with high wear resistance, such as boring bars, milling machine spindles, automatic lathe spindles, worm gears, precision screw threads, precision gears, high-pressure valves, valve stems, gauges, templates, rollers, molds, compressor piston rods, turbines' speed governors, rotating sleeves, fixed sleeves, and various wear-resistant components on rubber and plastic extruders.
