PBT is a milky white to opaque, semi-crystalline thermoplastic polyester. It boasts high heat resistance, capable of long-term operation at 140°C, and exhibits toughness, fatigue resistance, self-lubrication, and a low coefficient of friction. It is not resistant to strong acids or alkalis, but can withstand organic solvents, is flammable, and decomposes at high temperatures. Most are processed into blending materials, modified with various additives, and when blended with other resins, they achieve excellent heat resistance, flame retardancy, electrical insulation, and other comprehensive properties, along with good processing characteristics.PBT has high breakdown voltage, making it suitable for manufacturing components that can withstand high voltages. Due to its good flowability in the molten state, it is ideal for injection molding complex structures of electrical parts, such as IC sockets, printed circuit boards, computer keyboards, electrical switches, fuses, temperature control switches, protectors, and more. It is also used in automotive bumpers, carburetors, spark plugs, fuel system components, igniters, and more. In the communication field, PBT is widely used in programmed telephone integrated modules, junction plates, and electric tools.
