Low-pressure steam exhaust silencer
I. Overview
The noise emitted from steam exhaust in steam boilers and other thermal equipment far exceeds the values specified in China's "Hygiene Standard for Noise in Industrial Enterprises" (see Appendices 1 and 2). To address this, our factory offers a range of innovative steam silencers, primarily designed for effective noise reduction in steam exhaust from boilers and steam turbines in power generation, chemical, metallurgical, and textile industries. Many industrial and mining enterprises use a large number of low-pressure steam boilers with pressures of 0.13 MPa and below, and there are also substantial low-pressure thermal installations in power plant systems, such as back-pressure turbines, deaerators, auxiliary vacuum pumps, low-pressure steam pipelines, continuous blowdown expansion tanks, and periodic blowdown expansion tanks. These equipment are equipped with lightweight and easy-to-install exhaust silencers according to the requirements of the exhaust pipes. Guanghe Power Equipment designs TDb type back-pressure turbine exhaust silencers, TDy type high-pressure deaerator exhaust silencers, and other series of noise reduction products to meet the operational requirements of users.
2. Low-pressure steam exhaust silencer applications and product features:
Low-pressure steam exhaust silencers are suitable for various low-temperature, low-pressure thermal equipment, such as back-pressure steam turbines, deaerators, auxiliary exhaust pumps, low-pressure steam pipelines, continuous blowdown expansion tanks of boilers, and regular blowdown expansion tanks, etc. These equipment are equipped with exhaust silencers that are lightweight in structure and easy to install, as per the requirements of the exhaust pipes. Guanghe Power Equipment designs exhaust silencers for different noise reduction targets, including back-pressure steam turbine exhaust silencers and high-pressure deaerator exhaust silencers, which can meet the operational requirements of users.
The TD series low-pressure steam exhaust silencers utilize the noise reduction principle of through-hole expansion and pressure reduction combined with sound absorption. By replacing the small hole injection with through-hole expansion and pressure reduction, the structure ensures smooth exhaust. The composite sound absorption and noise reduction cover and sheets effectively absorb the remaining mid-to-high-frequency noise. The PD series low-pressure steam exhaust silencers are composed of metal-wrapped through-hole expansion and pressure reduction pipes and small hole jet release shells. The expansion and pressure reduction pipes divide the steam flow, thereby reducing noise and preventing the re-production of sound. The small hole jet release shell is a small hole element with numerous holes, made by drilling stainless steel, which pushes the wideband exhaust noise into an ultra-high-frequency region inaudible to the human ear and accelerates the decay of sound. Guanghe Power Equipment offers the following advantages with its low-pressure steam exhaust silencers:
1. The exhaust muffler features a lightweight and compact structure, easy to install.
2. Noise reduction without affecting exhaust flow.
3. The exhaust muffler's noise reduction meets the requirements of the "Noise Hygiene Standards for Industrial Enterprises," reducing the outlet noise by 30-36 decibels (A-weighted).
Order Selection Guidelines
Our steam exhaust silencer series is meticulously designed to meet the specific steam exhaust requirements of our customers. To achieve optimal noise reduction, the product must be compatible with the exhaust object, steam parameters, and discharge volume. Therefore, when ordering a silencer, the following parameters must be provided:
For thermal power plants, provide steam turbine model, boiler capacity, steam pressure, and temperature.
②Applicable Objects (e.g., for boiler superheat emissions or drum emissions, etc.)
③ Emission Rate T/H
④ Original exhaust pipe outer diameter, wall thickness;
⑤ Should you entrust our factory with the installation design, please provide the original exhaust piping installation diagram.
