27MG Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge

 The Olympus 27MG is an economical and practical ultrasonic thickness gauge, designed to accurately measure internally corroded or eroded metal pipes, tanks, and other equipment from one side. Weighing just 340 grams, its ergonomic design allows for easy one-handed operation. Despite its compact size, the 27MG boasts many innovative measurement features and employs the same detection technology as our more advanced thickness gauges. The durable 27MG is battery-powered, featuring a large backlit LCD screen with easily readable digits. Its function keys are clearly segmented by color, providing simple and direct access to many main functions.

 Its standard features include: automatic probe identification to ensure optimized probe performance, automatic zero-point compensation to enhance the accuracy of thermal surface material measurement, gain adjustment to improve the measurement performance of materials with strong acoustic attenuation (such as cast metals), differential mode, high/low alarm settings, and the minimum/maximum value mode for obtaining minimum or thickness values at a speed of 20 measurements per second.

 The design of the 27MG is to assist inspectors and maintenance engineers in monitoring wall thickness changes of metal pipes, tanks, beams, columns, and structural plate walls that are prone to corrosion on the inner surface. The ultrasonic thickness gauge emits sound waves from the outer side of the material being measured, allowing for a rapid and cost-effective testing solution without damaging the workpiece.

 Probe

 The standard configuration of the 27MG includes the economical and practical D7910 dual crystal probe. Users can perform many basic corrosion thickness measurements with this probe. Olympus also offers a complete series of dual crystal probes that can measure extremely thin or thick materials, or small diameter pipe fittings. Olympus probes compatible with the 27MG feature automatic probe recognition, optimizing probe performance by automatically calling up default V-path calibration.
