NORTEC 600D eddy current flaw detector -- for HVAC and heat exchanger tube fittings inspection

The redesigned interface of the NORTEC 600 instrument adopts the intuitive, rotary knob-operated browsing method from the previous NORTEC products and combines it with the simple menu structure and efficient shortcut key methods used in other popular Olympus instruments. The NORTEC 600 instrument comes in 4 models with a wide range of applications, offering numerous innovative features, including application selection menus, multi-function displays, real-time readings, and signal calibration under freeze mode, ensuring that operators of any level can quickly and easily complete the testing.

Advanced features in high-cost-performance testing solutions

Versatile applicability for a variety of testing applications
One instrument is sufficient for testing finned, non-finned, and non-ferrous pipe fittings. The NORTEC 600 fitting probe adapter kit supports eddy current testing (ECT) in both standard and air conditioning (A/C) modes, as well as remote field testing (RFT) and near field testing (NFT). Each testing mode can activate the probe in two ways: one to emit signals from the probe (for detecting erosion, corrosion, and wear defects), and another to emit differential signals from the probe (for detecting localized pitting, detecting cracks in eddy current mode, or detecting the surface coil array of copper-based air conditioning units).

Locate defects near the tube plate
Dual-frequency eddy current testing (ECT) and heterodyne far-field testing (RFT) facilitate the detection and interpretation of minute pitting defects near tube sheets. Heterodyne is a subtraction process where the tube sheet signal is either completely suppressed or significantly weakened.
Confidently quantify defects
Instantly obtain the angle and amplitude values without the need to draw marks on the screen.
Parameters can be pre-set, saving a lot of time.
Parameters for each application and detection mode can be quickly loaded correctly, after which operators only need to spend minimal time fine-tuning them.

Quick Learning
Users can learn how to operate the NORTEC 600 flaw detector, a eddy current testing tool, without spending hours or days. The NORTEC 600 flaw detector's interface is intuitive and straightforward; most operators can use the flaw detector for inspections after just a few minutes of training.

Applied
Detect corrosion, pitting, erosion, and erosion defects in various types of heat exchangers. These include HVAC systems, condensers, evaporators, water heaters, carbon steel or ferromagnetic pipe fittings heat exchangers, finned air coolers (fancoils), boilers, and mild ferromagnetic or non-ferromagnetic pipe fittings heat exchangers. Crack defects in non-ferromagnetic pipe fittings heat exchangers can also be detected (ECT mode).
