Ultrasonic Phased Array Submersible Probe
The design of the water immersion probe is intended for use in conjunction with a water wedge, or for testing parts or the entire workpiece submerged in water within a water immersion tank. This type of probe is a longitudinal wave probe; however, after configuration, it can be used for refracted shear wave testing with Rexolite wedges.
Advantages and Features
Its acoustic impedance matches with water.
Mountable on a water wedge for easier coupling to various surfaces, and its water path is adjustable (when the inspected workpiece cannot be immersed in the water tank).
Linear scanning can cover distances from 30mm to 90mm, with very high detection accuracy.
Corrosion-resistant stainless steel housing
Guaranteed waterproof at a depth of 1 meter underwater.
Typical Applications
Inspect thin plates or tubes made of steel, aluminum, or other materials
Inspect composite materials to detect delamination and adhesive failure.
Online thickness measurement
Automatic Scan
