Phased Array Probe with Wedge Block
Key Features
Available for acoustic beam detection of shear waves or longitudinal waves at angles between 30° and 70°, offering standard refraction angles in steel at 0°, 45°, 55°, and 60°.
The stainless steel screw holes ensure a secure and stable connection between the probe and the wedge block.
Horizontal electronic scanning replaces manual skew movement (using horizontal wedges).
You can order the IHC wedge option to enhance the quality of the inspection. The IHC option includes water jet holes, mounting holes on the wedge bracket for the Olympus scanner, and hard alloy strips that improve wear resistance.
Wedges are used for manual or automatic scanning.
You can order custom wedges with specific refractive angles; you can also customize the shape and contour of the wedges yourself.

How to find wedge block parameters
Find the appropriate wedge in the wedge database for OmniScan or TomoView. After selecting the wedge model, parameters will be automatically set.
If the required block is not yet available in the database, you can download the latest database update from the Technical Support page at www.olympus-ims.com.
Enter parameter values manually based on the values provided in the wedge block technical specifications table from the provided wedge block.

Keyway Curvature Conventions(For information on the wedge curvature coverage range, please contact the Sales Manager)

OmniScan wedge parameters
X Spindle Offset
Y Secondary shaft offset (0 when the probe is in the middle)
Z Highly
TomoView Wedge Parameters
XT Axial Offset of the Main Spindle at the Center of the First Chip (mm)
Y Subaxial offset at the center of the first wafer (mm) (measured from the wedge block side)
Z Height at the center of the first chip (millimeters)
