Conductivity probes are used for sorting non-ferrous metals and to determine heat treatment conditions or damage.
Conductivity probe for NORTEC 600
Adopting PowerlOlympus conductivity probes with ink technology are compatible with NORTEC 600 series instruments*. They are used for sorting metals and alloys, determining heat treatment conditions, and identifying damaged areas. The NORTEC 600 series instruments measure conductivity and display it as a digital reading in units of %IACS or MS/m, and also measure coating thickness or lift-off coefficient in units of inches or millimeters.

The conductivity probe operates at a frequency of 60 kHz or 480 kHz, equipped with a 16-pin LEMO connector for Powerl application.Ink technology.
Olympus utilizes a metal conductivity measurement and certification system, employing a four-point DC resistance technique for primary standard test blocks. These standard test blocks are continually maintained by Olympus and periodically re-certified to comply with NIST traceability. The primary standard test blocks and test samples are stored in an environment of 20℃ (+/-10℃), and the test samples are measured using the AC impedance transfer method. The entire system is computer-controlled to ensure accuracy and reproducibility.
Utilizing this primary standard test block technology, Olympus can provide high-accuracy certification for conductivity standard test blocks. The certification tolerance for materials below 60% IACS is 0.35% IACS or better, while for materials above 60% IACS, the certification tolerance is 0.5% IACS or better.
Incompatible with the basic model of NORTEC 600 instruments; requires the use of NORTEC 600C, 600S, or 600D models to complete the operation.
Also compatible with NORTEC 500 series and 2000 series.
