Characteristics of 30CrMnSiNi2A steel:
30CrMnSiNi2A is a super-high strength steel, belonging to the Cr-Mn-Si-Ni series alloy structural steel. It is developed by adding Si and Ni elements to the 30CrMn steel and is commonly used in the manufacture of critical structural components. After heat treatment, it achieves high strength, excellent ductility and toughness, good fatigue resistance and fracture toughness, and a low fatigue crack propagation rate. It has high hardenability and good machinability and weldability, but has a tendency to decarburize during high-temperature heating. It is also sensitive to notch and hydrogen embrittlement (including environmental hydrogen embrittlement). Special attention should be given to part design and heat treatment.
