Self-priming pump overview
Self-priming pump - a hydraulic machinery used for water pumping, consisting of the pump body, rotating assembly, connection assembly, debris cover, and overall assembly of the inlet and outlet pipes; upon starting the motor, the power is transmitted, and the rotating assembly is driven by the impeller centrifugal force, causing bubbles to rise, generating suction. The air in the inlet pipe is expelled outside the pump body through the outlet pipe, with the air being fully排出, and water flows out through the outlet pipe. This pump boasts excellent performance, deep suction lift, high flow rate, and saves both labor and time, making it a good water pump machinery in the real world.
Operating Principle
Self-priming pumps are commonly used in electroplating and chemical industries. Before starting, an appropriate amount of liquid is filled into the pump body to submerge the impeller. The return valve is then opened, connecting the pressure chamber with the suction chamber. As the impeller rotates, it transfers the liquid from the suction chamber and impeller into the pressure chamber. A vacuum is formed at the impeller inlet, causing the pressure in the suction line to be higher than that in the suction chamber, thus opening the suction valve. The gas in the suction line is drawn into the impeller, while the liquid in the pressure chamber is returned through the return valve and suction chamber, re-entering the impeller for gas-liquid mixing. The impeller then sends the gas-liquid mixture to the pressure chamber. Due to the large volume of the gas-liquid separation chamber, the flow rate is reduced, allowing for separation of gas and liquid based on their different densities. The gas is discharged through the pressure line, while the liquid is re-sucked into the impeller through the return valve hole, mixing with the gas again. This cycle continues until the gas in the suction line is completely exhausted, at which point the self-priming pump has completed the self-priming process and reached normal operation.
