Particle Surface Modification Machine
System Overview
Calcium Carbonate Powder Surface Treatment - commonly referred to as the "Calcium Carbonate Coating" system, suitable for processing fillers used in PVC or other plastic production. Limestone powder or heavy calcium carbonate (GCC) fineness d97: 35 micrometers to 5 micrometers, precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) fineness d50 < 0.1 micrometers.
The key objective of this processing method is the even and complete distribution of the modifier within the calcium carbonate powder. The addition amount of the modifier (by weight) constitutes 0.4-1.4% in heavy calcium carbonate modified products and 5% in precipitated calcium carbonate modified products. To ensure this small quantity of modifier can be evenly supplied to a large amount of calcium carbonate powder, it needs to be dissolved before mixing with the powder. Natural or synthetic waxes (such as stearic acid) are primarily used as modifiers.

Based on the successful experiences of the Alpine and Omya Groups, we have developed three different continuous surface coating systems: the needle disk grinding coating system, the eddy current grinding coating system, and the rotor grinding coating system. This continuous powder surface coating modification system is a Chinese-made equipment designed and manufactured on the basis of absorbing German technology, suitable for the surface modification of various powders such as calcium carbonate powder (heavy, precipitated), kaolin, talc, mica, graphite, barium sulfate, silicon dioxide, magnesium hydroxide, zinc oxide, and alumina. The system is appropriate for a variety of solid and liquid modifiers, including aluminates coupling agents, titanates coupling agents, silane coupling agents, and stearic acid.
