This barrier prevents direct contact between the metal and oxygen and water molecules in the air, thereby acting as a rust inhibitor. This product is a volatile consumable, and it should be replaced with a new one when the internal powder has volatilized to less than 5% of its capacity (approximately 2-4 years depending on the usage environment) to ensure continuous rust prevention.
