On November 11th, the average price of cold-rolled steel in major cities across China was 5613 yuan/ton, down by 5 yuan/ton from the previous day and by 5 yuan/ton from the same period last week. The market for cold-rolled steel remains weakly stable, with the price of Angang 1.0 cold coil in Shanghai at 5440 yuan/ton, stable; Tianjin Tiande 1.0 cold coil at 5300 yuan/ton, stable; and Lecong Liugang 1.0 cold coil at 5340 yuan/ton, stable. The market price of cold-rolled steel is mainly stable, partly due to previous shortages leading to high prices, which have since seen a price adjustment after concentrated arrivals. Merchants are mostly maintaining stability and observing the market, with downstream buyers making limited replenishments, resulting in average market transaction performance. As downstream demand weakens gradually, there is a possibility of increased inventory, and prices may face downward pressure. However, considering the limited time for downstream market restocking due to logistics and transportation impacts, traders are operating cautiously and stably overall. It is expected that market prices will fluctuate slightly in the short term.
