Examples of steel section applications on transmission towers
Equal angle steel main material, galvanized steel, oblique material, auxiliary material, hanging angle steel, foundation angle steel
Steel tower base, connecting plate, hanging wire plate, rest platform
Channel walkways, climbing ladders
Flat steel rest platform, climbing ladder guard cage, grounding wire, support foot
Round steel ladder, cross-sectional reinforcing bar, anchor bolt, foundation reinforcing bar, tie rod, U-bolt
1. Theoretical weight of tower steel
The weight of steel per unit length or area for a specific specification is known as the theoretical weight per unit length of that specification steel. Angle iron, channel iron, steel pipe, flat steel, etc., are typically referenced by their theoretical weight per 1 meter in length. Plate steel is referenced by its theoretical weight per square meter of area. The theoretical weight of the actual item is calculated by multiplying the actual length by the theoretical weight per unit length or the actual area by the theoretical weight per unit area.
