Fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) sealed cover is a type of cover made from FRP. When considering all aspects, FRP lids hold a significant position. Although they may not match some metal lids in terms of strength, their corrosion resistance is far superior to that of metal lids. In terms of load-bearing capacity, they are far superior to wooden and plastic lids, and their design flexibility and safety performance are also significantly better than the aforementioned lids.
Performance:
1. Outstanding wear and slip resistance: Anti-slip and wear-resistant treatments are applied during the manufacturing process. Its slip and wear resistance far exceeds that of common metal, wooden, and plastic lids.
2. Excellent sealing performance and high safety: Compared to metal lids with poor corrosion resistance and wooden lids of inferior quality, the glass fiber reinforced plastic sealing cover offers superior sealing. It also boasts many features such as non-conductive, non-conductive, and high corrosion resistance.
3. High-temperature resistance and strong flame retardancy: All fiberglass products possess strong flame retardant properties, primarily due to the resin used in the manufacturing process. Although there are various types of resins, high-temperature resistance is a fundamental property shared by all.
4. Excellent aging and corrosion resistance: Aging is a form of corrosion, more accurately described as chronic corrosion, such as humid air being an environment of chronic corrosion. Metal lids left in humid air for a long time will gradually corrode, commonly known as rusting.
5. Long lifespan and high economic benefits: Generally, the lifespan of glass fiber reinforced plastic covers exceeds 50 years. In contrast, metal covers have a lifespan of about 5 years, while wooden covers last only around 3 years.
Features:
One. Our glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP) wastewater covers are highly corrosion-resistant: they exhibit resistance to various gases and liquids such as acids, alkalis, organic solvents, and salts, making them widely applicable in corrosion prevention. Depending on the specific requirements of the application, the GRP sealing covers can be economically chosen to use either orthophthalic, meta-phenolic, or vinyl ester resins as the matrix material.
Two, Lightweight and High Strength: The density of glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFRP) grating does not exceed 2, and the GFRP cover plate is only 1/4 the weight of steel and 2/3 the weight of aluminum. Its strength is 10 times that of rigid polyvinyl chloride, and greater than that of aluminum and ordinary steel.
Three, our glass fiber reinforced plastic grating covers are flame retardant: the flame spread rate of standard flame retardant grating (ASTM E-84) is no more than 25; the flame spread rate of premium flame retardant vinyl grating is not more than 10. The oxygen index is not less than 28 (GB 8924).
Four: Anti-aging: Life span of over 50 years.
Five, our fiberglass sealed covers offer high safety: they possess excellent electrical insulation, with no breakdown at 10KV voltage; they are non-magnetic, suitable for use on equipment sensitive to magnetism; the unique structure of our fiberglass grating covers also features anti-slip and fatigue resistance properties.
