Xinjiang Guangda Sanhe Refined Cotton, Case Details of Cellulose Wastewater Treatment Plant: Shandong Gaqing Refined Cotton Factory has two production lines with a capacity of 300 tons per day, producing 60,000 tons of dephenol cottonseed protein, 20,000 tons of dephenol cottonseed oil, and 16,000 tons of cotton linter annually. In 2009, it was recognized as a national high-tech enterprise and successfully passed the ISO9001 Quality Management System certification and ISO14001 Environmental Management System certification. The Shandong Gaqing Refined Cotton Factory plans to build a new refined cotton production line. Refined cotton, also known as cotton pulp or refined cotton, is a type of cellulose made from cotton linter through alkali cooking and refining. This product is widely used in fields such as cellulose ethers, coatings, oil extraction, building materials, textiles, food, daily necessities, papermaking, electronics, aerospace, and plastics.

The total investment in this wastewater treatment project reaches 10 million yuan. The refined cotton wastewater is alkaline, with complex composition and contains substances that are difficult to biodegrade. The CODCr value and color intensity are both high, categorizing it as a difficult-to-treat, high-concentration organic wastewater. After the implementation of this project, the effluent quality achieves COD below 300 mg/L, SS below 200 mg/L, and color below 80. Other effluent quality indicators comply with the requirements of CJ3082-1999 "Wastewater Discharge Quality Standards into Urban Sewerage."
