Motor mold is a tool used in punching, forming stamping, die forging, cold heading, extrusion, powder metallurgy parts pressing, pressure casting, as well as the molding or injection molding of engineering plastics, rubber, ceramics and other products, to make the blank into a specific shape and size of the workpiece under external force.
The motor mold has a specific contour or inner cavity shape, and the contour shape with a cutting edge can separate the blank according to the contour line shape, that is, punching is carried out; The shape of the inner cavity can give the blank a corresponding three-dimensional shape.
The motor mold is generally divided into two parts: the moving mold and the fixed mold, or the convex mold and the concave mold, which can be separated or closed. When separated, insert the blank or remove the component, and when closed, separate or shape the component from the blank. During the processes of punching, forming stamping, forging, cold heading, pressing, and compression molding, the external force required for separation or forming is applied to the billet through the mold; In the processes of extrusion, die casting, and injection molding, external forces are applied to the billet by air pressure, plunger, punch, etc., and the mold bears the swelling force of the billet.
In addition to the motor mold itself, it also requires a mold base, mold frame, guide device, and component output device. These components are generally made into universal types to be suitable for a certain range of different molds.
