Puncture line clamp
1Product Introduction
The insulation puncture wire clamp was officially put into production in 1973, and the product has a history of nearly 40 years of operation experience. In 1994, the insulation puncture wire clamp officially entered the Chinese market, and its advanced technology and design became the leader in this field! The insulation puncture wire clamp is suitable for applications with voltage levels of 0.6-10KV, and is divided into four categories and dozens of models: main line to main line connection, main line to branch line connection, temporary grounding or verification connection, and underground cable connection, covering a wire diameter range of 1.5-240mm2. Mainly used for cable support in building power distribution systems, T-connection of low-voltage insulated incoming lines, streetlights and tunnel lighting systems, connection of overhead low-voltage insulated lines (cables), and connection of underground low-voltage insulated lines (cables). The product has excellent mechanical, electrical, waterproof, corrosion-resistant, and anti-aging properties. Compared to traditional cable connection methods, puncture clips have advantages such as easy installation, safe use, and cost savings.

3Overview of puncture line clamp
1. The puncture structure is easy to install, and the insulated wire does not need to be peeled off.
2. Torque nut, constant puncture pressure, ensures good electrical connection without damaging the wires.
3. Self sealing structure, moisture-proof, waterproof, corrosion-resistant, extends the service life of insulated wires and wire clamps.
4. Using specially designed contact blades, suitable for copper (aluminum) docking and copper aluminum transition.
5. The electrical contact resistance is small, and the impulse current can reach up to 15kA *.
6. Special insulation shell, resistant to light and environmental aging, with insulation strength up to 6kV.
7. Curved surface design, suitable for connecting wires of the same (different) diameter, with a wide connection range (1.5mm2-240mm2).

5Characteristics of puncture clip
To ensure the mechanical and electrical performance of the wire clamp, the product is made of high-quality materials. The contact blade is specially selected with galvanized copper alloy, which not only ensures excellent contact surface, but also is suitable for the transition between copper and aluminum. The waterproof seal adopts high-quality rubber rings and silicone to ensure that it will not deteriorate for 25 years. The insulation shell is mixed with glass fiber to increase the strength of the body and achieve mechanical properties.
Specially designed torque nuts ensure that the installation of each clamp is in place. Constant puncture pressure ensures effective puncture while maintaining low contact resistance and thermal cycling state without damaging the wire. Change the instability of traditional parallel groove clamps. More than 30 years of successful operational practice have proven that insulation puncture cable clamps are superior insulation cable connectors.
In order to ensure good performance and quality, the product has undergone the following experiments:
*Mechanical performance: Under the tensile force of the wire, the clamp did not break.
*Temperature rise performance: Under high current conditions, the temperature rise of the wire clamp is less than that of the connecting wire.
*Thermal cycling performance: 200 times of high current overload of 100A/mm2 per second, with a contact resistance change of less than 5%.
*Waterproof and insulation performance: No breakdown occurs when subjected to a voltage of 6kV for 1 minute at a depth of 30cm underwater.
*Corrosion resistance: Conduct 3 cycles of 14 days in sulfur dioxide and salt spray environments.
*Environmental aging performance: Exposure to ultraviolet radiation, dry and humid environments, temperature changes, and thermal shock for six weeks.
Compared with traditional cable connection methods, puncture clips have the following advantages:
Easy installation:
Cable branches can be made without stripping the insulation layer of the cable or cutting off the main cable, and the joints are completely waterproof, sealed, and insulated.
Live working is possible, and branching can be done at any position on the cable. Only the socket wrench is needed for installation.
Safe use:
Waterproof, corrosion-resistant, and aging resistant. No maintenance required.
It has been safely used for over 30 years.
Cost savings:
Applied in construction, the installation space is extremely small, saving bridge and civil engineering costs. There is no need for terminal boxes, distribution boxes, or cable return lines, saving cable investment. The cost-effectiveness is higher than traditional connection methods.
Widely used for insulation renovation of urban and rural power grids.
