Expansive Clay Waterproof Mat
Product Description:
Geosynthetic clay lining can be categorized by production process into: needle-punched sodium bentonite waterproof geotextile, needle-punched film-coated sodium bentonite waterproof geotextile, and adhesive sodium bentonite waterproof geotextile. The needle-punched film-coated sodium bentonite waterproof geotextile is a geotextile made of nonwoven sodium bentonite with a high-density polyethylene geomembrane bonded to its outer surface. The adhesive sodium bentonite waterproof geotextile is a sodium bentonite produced by bonding bentonite particles to a high-density polyethylene board using an adhesive, and then compressing it.
Geosynthetic clay liner is a specialized soil engineering material used for preventing leakage in artificial lakes, landfill sites, underground parking garages, rooftop gardens, ponds, oil storage facilities, and chemical storage yards. It consists of highly expansible sodium bentonite sandwiched between a custom composite geotextile and nonwoven fabric, and is made using the needle-punching method. The geosynthetic clay liner forms numerous small fiber spaces, preventing the bentonite particles from flowing in one direction. When water is present, it creates a uniform, high-density gel-like waterproof layer within the pad, effectively preventing water leakage.
Geotextile waterproofing mats are made by spraying a slurry to protect the surface, where the bentonite particles and corresponding additives are mixed as the raw material. Through needle-punched technology and equipment, the bentonite particles are fixed between the geotextile and the plastic woven fabric to form a rollable waterproof mat. The bentonite waterproofing mat combines all the characteristics of geosynthetic materials.Sexiness with excellent waterproof (seepage) properties. The bentonite waterproof mat is primarily used in environmental engineering projects such as waste landfill sites, underground reservoirs, and underground infrastructure construction, addressing sealing, isolation, and leakage prevention issues effectively, with strong resistance to destruction.
Product Features:
1. Exceptional waterproof and seepage resistance; the static water pressure resistance reaches over 1.0MPa, permeability is 5×10-11m/s, bentonite mass per unit area is 5kg/m2. Bentonite is a natural inorganic material that does not undergo aging reactions, offering excellent durability; it also poses no adverse environmental impact.
2. Features all properties of geotextile materials, such as separation, reinforcement, protection, and filtration, with easy construction and no limitations by construction environment temperature, even below 0°C. During construction, simply lay the GCL waterproof mat flat on the ground. For vertical or inclined surfaces, secure it with nails and washers, and overlap as required.
3. Easy to repair; even after the waterproofing (leakproof) work is completed, if the waterproof layer sustains an unexpected damage, a simple repair to the damaged area will restore the waterproof performance to its original perfection.
4. Offers a high performance-to-price ratio and is highly versatile in applications.
5. The product width can reach 6 meters, matching international specifications for geotextiles (membranes), significantly enhancing construction efficiency.
