Bridge railing decorations are not highly developed in our country as a whole, mainly evident in scenic bridges. These decorations are generally located in areas where people are likely to pause and admire, often closely tied to folk customs and mythological tales. Examples include the dragon that controls water, the rhinoceros that splits the water, and divine creatures subduing water monsters, thus forming a unique style of our country's bridge art. Additionally, many of our bridge railings are accompanied by various auxiliary structures on or at the bridgehead. The structures on the bridge originated from the anti-corrosion and pressure base functions of wooden bridges and later became a combination of bridges and buildings. The structures at the bridgehead serve as signs for the bridge entrances and exits, with the dual role of complementing, protecting, and decorating the bridge. With the continuous development of society and urbanization, modern bridge railings soar over rivers, acting as hubs for communication between the southern and northern halves of the country and the interior and exterior of the Yellow River. As people's aesthetic viewpoints evolve, there is now a growing emphasis on bridge decorations, not just for their functional role in bridge passage but also for their harmony with mountains, rivers, cities, and people. Modern bridge decorations, including lighting, side decorations, railing decorations, and bridgehead structures, integrate bridges into the city's cultural fabric, giving bridges beautiful wings to soar above the city and mountains.
