With the development of our province's highway construction, higher requirements have been put forth for the appearance quality of bridges, particularly the appearance of columns. In conjunction with the supervision practice of the He-Huai-Fu Expressway, this study analyzes the factors affecting the appearance of columns and explores effective control methods for column appearance quality during construction. In the column construction without support technology, steel bars are processed in a centralized modular manner, which effectively reduces the impact of adverse weather and maximizes the use of raw materials, thus offering short construction cycles and high efficiency. Piers are an essential part of bridges, and their appearance design and quality management have a profound impact on the overall stability of the bridge. This article describes the construction method of column construction without support, noting the advantages of energy saving and emission reduction, as well as extending the service life of the bridge. This paper delves into the technology of controlling the appearance quality of bridge columns for reference purposes.
