Product Overview

The Biofilm Contact Oxidation Process primarily utilizes a biofilm attached to a carrier (commonly referred to as media) to purify organic wastewater. It has been extensively applied in the textile dyeing and printing, woolen knitting, beer and food industries, petrochemical fertilizer wastewater treatment, and domestic wastewater management, yielding significant environmental, social, and economic benefits. In recent years, with the increased demand for water supply and the varying degrees of surface water pollution, such as rivers and lakes, affected by widespread organic contamination, the contact oxidation process has been adopted for treatment. For many years, this process has been widely adopted by design departments due to its unique advantages of energy-saving, small land occupation, resistance to shock load, and convenient operation and management, and is highly favored and appreciated by users.

Biofilm Carrier...The packing material is the core part of the contact oxidation process, directly affecting the treatment effect, aeration performance, capital investment, operation cycle, and costs. The three-dimensional elastic packing and mixed three-dimensional elastic packing produced and launched by our factory have been proven to be ideal carrier packing materials through various conditions, extensive tests, and long-term production operation. Due to the unique structural form and excellent material and process selection, this packing material boasts a long service life, good aeration performance, low power consumption, quick start-up and biofilm attachment, easy biofilm removal and renewal, high load resistance, significant treatment effects, simple operation and management, non-blocking, non-agglomeration, and low cost. The packing material can adjust the density of fibers and different assembly forms when applied in different process water quality conditions, making it perfectly suitable for various waste water treatment processes such as anaerobic, aerobic, and facultative anaerobic processes. The structure and performance of this packing material are at a high level.


Structure and Features

This filling material selects several varieties of polyolefins and polyamides that are resistant to corrosion, temperature, and aging. Mixed with hydrophilic, adsorptive, and antioxidant additives, it utilizes a special spinning process and yarn-making technique, interweaving and securing the yarns onto a central rope that is resistant to corrosion and highly durable. Due to the fine selection of materials and the optimized processing formula, the yarns are moderately flexible and rigid, forming a three-dimensional uniform radial arrangement. This creates a single suspended three-dimensional elastic filling material. Within the effective area, the filling material can uniformly expand and cover in all directions, allowing for thorough mixing and contact exchange between air, water, and biological films. The biological film can not only uniformly adhere to each yarn while maintaining good activity and porosity variability, but also, during operation, it can increase its specific surface area, and it can carry out excellent metabolism. This characteristic and phenomenon are unparalleled by other filling materials.

Compared to rigid honeycomb fillers, this material boasts greater porosity variability without clogging. In contrast to soft fillers, it has a longer material lifespan and doesn't stick to aggregates. When compared to semi-soft fillers, it offers a larger surface area, quick film formation, and lower cost. Therefore, this filler can be confirmed as the fourth-generation energy-saving and innovative filler, following various rigid, soft, and semi-soft fillers.
