Fluidized Bed Media (Suspended Biological Media)
In the aerobic biological fluidized bed process, three-dimensional hollow fillers are used as aerobic biological carriers. The fillers have a hollow structure, and during normal operation, they float in the water. Anaerobic bacteria grow inside the fillers, producing denitrification that removes nitrogen; aerobic bacteria grow on the outside, removing organic matter. Throughout the treatment process, both nitrification and denitrification occur simultaneously.
Features
1. Utilizes copolymer materials, which remain stable and do not degrade when soaked in wastewater, and pose no toxic effects on microorganisms, outperforming materials like polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
2. Special structure with hollow filling, featuring three concentric hollow circles, each with one edge internally and 36 edges externally. Successfully developed through multiple research and development phases, and produced using a single molding process.
High specific surface area of 3, with the specific surface area of common microorganisms ranging from 90-180, and that of hollow fillers reaching up to 600, and the dual specific surface area exceeding 860. Due to the high specific surface area, the biomass per unit volume is high, achieving the goal of short hydraulic retention time.
4. High activity of microorganisms. The microbial film growing on the surface of the packing due to fluidization collision. Aeration scouring keeps the microorganisms in a logarithmic growth phase of high activity, ensuring high treatment efficiency.
