    The Stone Aggregate and Steel Plate Storage Facility is a specialized enclosed storage equipment designed for materials like stone aggregates, gravel, and crushed stone. Relying on high-strength steel structures and targeted design, it precisely accommodates the characteristics of these materials, such as high density, angular shapes, and dustiness, effectively addressing the pain points of traditional open-air stacking or simple storage, such as extensive land use, heavy pollution, and significant material loss. It is widely used in construction projects, road construction, concrete mixing stations, and mining operations, serving as a core facility for the large-scale, environmentally friendly, and efficient storage and turnover of stone aggregates.

    I. Core Structural Types


    Based on differences in storage capacity, construction conditions, and usage scenarios, the stone and steel plate silos are mainly categorized into three mainstream types, all featuring reinforced structural designs suitable for stone storage.


    Large Welded Stone and Steel Plate Silos: Core design for large-scale and long-term storage, with a cylindrical body, a spherical segmental structure for the top and bottom, and a round truncated cone base to bear the high gravity load of stones. The silo walls are constructed by welding high-strength steel plates such as 16Mn (Q355B), with wall thickness ranging from 6-25mm. Additional annular and vertical reinforcing ribs can be added to enhance structural stability, and wear-resistant angle steel is set on the inner wall to reduce the abrasion of stone edges. The aspect ratio is typically controlled at 1:1 or less to minimize impact on the silo walls. Individual silo capacity can reach 10,000-100,000 tons, with a diameter designable from 20 to 60 meters, and can be further expanded to meet special requirements.


    2. Spiral Edge Stone Steel Plate Storage Silo: Ideal for medium and small-scale storage capacities and rapid construction scenarios. Formed by specialized equipment that咬合 galvanized steel plates into a spiral shape, the 5-layer interlocking edge structure of the silo wall panels combines high strength with excellent sealing properties, with wall thickness ranging from 2.0mm to 6.0mm. Its advantages include a short construction period, low self-weight, and low transportation costs, meeting the needs for sand and stone aggregate transshipment silos or temporary storage. However, due to the limitations of plate thickness, the storage capacity is typically not more than 15,000 tons.


    3. Prefabricated Gravel & Steel Plate Storage Silos: Assembled using pre-fabricated corrugated steel plates with high-tension bolts, these silos offer easy construction and are not restricted by weather conditions. Their overall strength is comparable to that of large welding bins. The silo dimensions can be flexibly adjusted according to the gravel storage capacity, making them suitable for decentralized storage needs at medium and small concrete batching plants or construction project sites.

    High impact resistance and wear resistance: Designed for the characteristics of large stone density (up to 16-17 KN/m³) and sharp edges, the storage bin is made of high-strength steel and features optimized structural design. Additionally, the bin boasts excellent wind and seismic resistance, adaptable to various regional climates and geological conditions, and can have a service life of up to 30-40 years after anti-corrosion treatment.

Airtight and Eco-Friendly, Dust-Free Operation: Featuring a fully enclosed structural design, the top of the storage facility is equipped with a dust collector that efficiently collects dust during material feeding and ensures compliant emissions. The unloading process is connected through an enclosed conveying system, preventing dust pollution during the transfer of stones, thus completely resolving the issue of dust dispersion from traditional open-air stacking. This meets current stringent environmental protection standards. Additionally, the enclosed structure prevents stone loss and quality degradation caused by rainwater runoff, reducing material waste.


    3. Efficient Loading and Unloading with Low Residue: The base of the storage is designed with a conical bottom or flat bottom + vaporization device for targeted application: The conical bottom structure utilizes gravity for the automatic flow of gravel, suitable for rapid removal of large-grained gravel; the flat-bottomed storage is paired with vaporization pipes, which prevent the gravel from compacting and forming lumps at the bottom of the storage through air flow disturbance, achieving an unloading clearance rate of over 95%, significantly reducing manual cleaning costs. The unloading system can seamlessly connect with the company's conveying chain, enabling automated continuous unloading and improving turnover efficiency.


    4. Space-saving and high space utilization: Compared to traditional outdoor storage yards, the stone and steel plate silos can expand vertically, significantly reducing the land area required. Large silos with diameters of 20-60 meters and heights of 20-40 meters can have multiple storage units spaced as close as 50 centimeters, maximizing the use of the factory space. Some elevated designs also allow for direct loading at the bottom of the silo, further reducing the cost of site planning.


    5. Smart Management, Enhanced Convenience: Compatible with installation of level monitoring and intelligent control systems, providing real-time feedback on the inventory of aggregates, to prevent overstocking or shortages, facilitating enterprises in planning procurement and production schedules. Some large warehouses can also add equipment such as circular tracks and bucket wheel excavators, achieving fully automated loading and unloading operations, reducing manual inspection and operation workload, especially suitable for large-scale multi-warehouse management.


    6. Versatile and Scalable: The storage body specifications can be flexibly customized according to the storage capacity of aggregates and particle size, with individual storage capacities ranging from hundreds to tens of thousands of tons. In case of increased storage needs, expansion can be achieved by adding new storage bodies or expanding existing capacity to meet the demands of production capacity increase; it can also serve as a transfer storage hub, balancing the production and sales rhythm between mining and downstream construction, ensuring the continuity of production.


    III. Main Application Fields


    Construction and Road Engineering: Supplies various sizes of gravel for concrete pouring and subgrade laying, ensuring the continuity of raw material supply at the project site and preventing delays in construction progress due to material shortages.


    2. Concrete Mixing Station: Serving as a core raw material storage facility, it stores aggregates of various particle sizes and seamlessly connects to the mixing production process through an automated unloading system, enhancing the production efficiency of the mixing station and the standardization of raw material management.


    3. Mining and Aggregate Processing Plant: Utilized for storing finished aggregates after mining and crushing, facilitating large-scale warehousing and orderly transportation, thereby reducing the environmental pressure from open-air stacking and material loss.


    4. Hydroelectric Engineering: High-intensity aggregates for dam and embankment construction, suitable for harsh outdoor construction environments, ensuring safe raw material storage and stable supply.
