Applications for Lithium-based Bentonite Products

Lithium-based bentonite products feature the following characteristics:

Applications of Lithium-based Bentonite Products

Primarily used in the foundry industry as a suspension agent for alcohol-based paints, anti-ash binder, and various ceramic glaze paints, serving as a base suspension agent, thixotropic agent, and anti-settling agent. In daily chemical applications such as latex paints, it functions as a thixotropic agent for suspensions and pastes, a latex stabilizer, and a thickener in strong solvent systems. Additionally, it can be used as a sizing agent for textiles.

Usage Instructions for Lithium-based Bentonite Products:

The lithium-modified bentonite is wetted with water in a 1:1 ratio, thoroughly mixed, and formed into a uniform clay paste.

(2) A small amount of alcohol solvent is mixed under pressure, followed by the addition of refractory materials, binder, additives, and alcohol solvent to continue mixing into a paint paste. (3) The mixture is diluted with alcohol solvent, stirred evenly to achieve the desired viscosity for paint, suitable for spraying or brushing onto the mold surface, and then ignited to dry after 2-4 minutes. (4) When preparing alcohol-based block dry paint, the amount added is 2-4 times the refractory material.
