    The electrolytic polishing process for stainless steel EP tubes utilizes electrochemical selective dissolution to achieve an extremely smooth and shiny surface.

    Specifically, this process primarily includes the following key steps:

    Anode Dissolution: Stainless steel EP tubes are used as anodes, immersed in a specific electrolyte and connected to a direct current power supply. Under the influence of the electric field, metal atoms on the surface of the tube will lose electrons, forming metal ions that dissolve into the electrolyte.

    Forming Viscous Membranes and Selective Polishing: During the dissolution process, an insulating, sticky membrane forms on the anode surface. Due to the thinner membrane and higher current density on the surface micro-protrusions, the dissolution rate is significantly faster than in the concave areas. This differential dissolution continuously flattens the micro-high points, resulting in an exceptionally smooth surface.

    Passivation Protection: While polishing, a dense and chemically stable chromium-rich passivation film forms on the surface of the stainless steel. This film effectively prevents the intrusion of external corrosive agents into the matrix, significantly enhancing the corrosion resistance of the EP tubes.

    By this principle, electrolytic polishing not only imparts a mirror-like luster and ultra-low roughness at the nanometer level to EP tube surfaces, but also removes surface microdefects and embedded impurities, making it particularly suitable for applications with stringent requirements for cleanliness and corrosion resistance, such as in the semiconductor, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology industries.
