I. Application Fields The VDM series vertical machining centers are high-efficiency, high-precision vertical machining centers developed and produced by our company. This series of machine tools features a unique and durable rigidity structure and is equipped with a rich selection of configurations, offering strong machining capabilities. It is widely applicable for processing complex box-shaped parts, shell parts, and disc-shaped parts in industries such as military, automotive, mold-making, and mechanical manufacturing. It serves as an ideal machine tool for industrial production of various scales. The series offers different spindle configuration options, allowing for the selection of a direct-drive spindle with high rotational speed up to 15,000 rpm for high-speed cutting to enhance efficiency; or a geared spindle (above 1060 specification) to meet low-speed, high-torque machining requirements, enabling the processing of difficult-to-machine materials like high-strength steel and high-temperature alloys. Two,Machine Tool Features and Key Technical Indices 1. Machine Tool Features (1) High Precision – The X, Y, and Z axes of the machine tool all use high-precision ball screw pairs. After pre-stretching, the ball screws effectively control the heating and deformation issues during the machine tool's processing movement, enhancing the machine tool's processing accuracy. 2. Key Technical Indicators
(2) High Speed - Machining spindles are available in various types, including direct-drive spindles or gear-drive spindle structures. The gear-drive spindle can reach a high speed of 8000 rpm with two-speed gear shifting, enabling high-speed processing while achieving high torque chip removal. Additionally, a direct-drive spindle at 15000 rpm is also available to meet the demand for high-speed machining.
X, Y, and Z coordinate guides are equipped with linear rolling guide slides or high-rigidity imported plated steel plate quenched guide slides, allowing for rapid movement at speeds of 36/36/30 m/min; meanwhile, machine tools in the series with VDM1060L and below under-line rail structures also offer an option for rapid movement at speeds of 48/48/48 m/min.
The standard tool magazine of the machine tool uses a synchronous structure. The robot releases and pulls the tool through a cam during the tool change process, enabling rapid tool change.
(3) High Rigidity – The main part of the machine tool is made of high-strength castings with resin sand, featuring an integral casting for the bed. The columns are fixed to the rear bed, and the sliding table and worktable move on the casting of the bed, forming a stable rigid structure that enhances the overall stability of the machine tool. Additionally, through finite element analysis during the design process, the frame structure has been optimized to make the rigid structure more rational.
Equipped with various spindle structures, including high-speed direct-drive spindles or high-speed geared spindles with two-speed transmission, catering to diverse customer requirements.
(2) Utilize high-precision ball screw technology to enhance machine tool positioning and repeatability accuracy; select hollow ball screw structure for further precision improvement.
(3) Machining centers are equipped with a synchronous tool change mechanism (tool change time: less than 2 seconds for 1060 series and less than 2.5 seconds for 1270 series and above).
(4) The main components of machine tools are integral castings, and the structure is made more rational through finite element analysis during the design process.
