I. Overview: The mechanical winding glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFRP) pipe is a lightweight, corrosion-resistant non-metallic pipeline. It is made by using resin as the matrix and glass fiber as the reinforcing material through special processes. This pipe boasts corrosion resistance, leakage prevention, thermal insulation, and other advantages, such as light weight, long service life, strong design flexibility, low fluid resistance, easy installation, and low overall cost. It is widely used in industries such as oil, chemical, power, papermaking, urban water supply and drainage, industrial wastewater treatment, gas transmission, and mining. It is an ideal pipeline for transporting liquids and gases. In recent years, the production of GFRP pipes in our country has developed rapidly, with the quantity increasing year by year and the scope of application and departments expanding accordingly.

Four, Fiber-wound Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) Sand-filled Pipes - These GRP sand-filled pipes offer reliability and are primarily used for buried pipelines and long-distance transmission lines. They feature lightweight, corrosion resistance, long service life, and low operation and maintenance costs, which can save a significant amount of funds for construction projects.

V. Features 1. Lightweight: The specific gravity of the glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFRP) sand-filled pipes is 1.65 to 2.0. Compared to the same diameter and length of carbon steel pipes, they weigh only 1/3, and FRP pipes weigh only 1/5 of cast iron pipes, and 1/10 of pre-stressed concrete pipes. This reduces lifting costs during construction and speeds up installation. 2. Excellent hydraulic properties: This feature is particularly prominent in water supply and drainage applications, with good hydraulic characteristics. (1) Saves pump operation costs. (2) Reduces pipe diameter size. (3) Shortens pumping time. (4) FRP pipes do not scale over time, eliminating the need for cleaning, thus preventing secondary water pollution. 3. Good corrosion and water resistance: The GFRP sand-filled pipes have excellent corrosion resistance, reducing anti-corrosion costs and extending service life. Additionally, as they do not rust, they ensure the water quality is not contaminated a second time. They are also suitable for transporting wastewater, sludge, seawater, and other media. 4. Pressure resistance: Designed and manufactured according to the required pressure, with hydraulic tests conducted at 1.5 times the required pressure. 5. Good interface sealing: The joints are leak-proof, do not crack, and enhance the reliability of water supply.

Section 7: Main Molding Process The inner lining is manufactured on mandrels by computer control, following the same process as the fiber-wrapped glass steel pipes. After gelation, the structural layers are wrapped according to the designed line patterns and thicknesses. The mortar, a mixture of quartz sand and resin, is wrapped within the structural layers, and an outer protective layer is wrapped around.

Strong Corrosion Resistance: GRP sand-lined pipes are acid, alkali, and corrosion-resistant, suitable for transporting groundwater, seawater, industrial wastewater, and highly corrosive liquids. Special pipes made from corrosion-resistant materials are available for specific media. The sand-lined pipes maintain all the original characteristics of GRP products (lightweight, corrosion-resistant, insulating, heat-insulating, and design flexibility). 2. Good Abrasion Resistance: GRP sand-lined pipes exhibit good abrasion resistance, as demonstrated by tests where water slurry containing a high amount of silt and stones is circulated through pipes for 10,000 rotations. 3. Heat and Cold Resistance, Strong Temperature Adaptability: GRP sand-lined pipes can operate normally at temperatures ranging from -40℃ to 80℃. Pipes with special resin ratios can function at temperatures up to 110℃, and they are not prone to cracking under frozen conditions. 4. Low Fluid Resistance: The interior surface of GRP sand-lined pipes is smooth, with low resistance, a roughness coefficient of 0.0084, and a pressure loss coefficient approximately half that of steel pipes and one-fourth that of cement pipes. This ensures a smaller flow head loss, allowing for larger flow rates through smaller diameters. Typically, sand-lined pipes are one grade smaller in diameter than cast iron or cement pipes. Using pipes of the same inner diameter can save 1/3 of the pump power and energy. 5. High Mechanical Strength: GRP sand-lined pipes have excellent water pressure, external pressure, and impact resistance, making them suitable for installation in various geological conditions. They can be designed and manufactured according to customer-specified pressure requirements. 6. Lightweight and Easy to Install: GRP sand-lined pipes are lightweight, one-fourth the weight of steel pipes and one-tenth the weight of cement pipes. They are easy to handle and install, with sections up to 12 meters in length, requiring fewer joints. No complex welding is needed for installation, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
