    Watch Out for These Situations with the PTFE-lined Reactor!

    In the chemical industry, a lined PTFE reactor is an extremely important material reaction vessel. It is used in nearly every production phase. Materials inside the reactor undergo physical or chemical reactions according to different production process parameters, resulting in finished products that meet quality requirements. Selecting the appropriate stirrer for the lined PTFE reactor based on the physical properties of the different media, capacity, and mixing objectives can significantly enhance reaction rates and improve production efficiency.
    In the chemical industry, severe production accidents due to inadequate maintenance, poor care, and improper operation of four-fluorine-lined reactors are a near-annual occurrence, involving leaks, pipe sealing, high pressure, explosions, and fires...
    During the operation of the PTFE-lined reaction kettle, every detail is worth careful consideration. Temperature is a critical indicator of the working condition. In addition, special attention should be paid to the following situations when operating a PTFE-lined reaction kettle.
    The thickness of the vessel wall is uniform, but the corrosion exceeds the design limit.
    During the hydrostatic test, there was significant deformation in the lining of the PTFE reactor, or residual deformation exceeded the specified limit.
    The vessel wall thickness is adequate, however, local corrosion exceeds the design limit values, and the corroded area is greater than 20% of the total surface area.
    When the porcelain surface damage exceeds 15% or the damaged area cannot be effectively repaired.
    In cases of severe alkali brittleness or intergranular corrosion, leading to cracks in the lining of a PTFE reactor or welds that cannot be repaired;
    Excess Defects: For instance, severe structural defects that pose a significant threat to safe operation, severe incomplete welds, non-compliant weld seams, cracks, and other issues that cannot be effectively repaired require the replacement of the four-fluoroethylene-lined reactor.
    If any defects are found during the use of the PTFE-lined reactor, it is necessary to replace the PTFE-lined reactor promptly to ensure safe operation.
