I. Basic Introduction
Secondary light gas shells typically have velocities less than 10 km/s, with the firing velocity generally not exceeding 8 km/s. To enhance firing speed and performance, there is an urgent need to develop the third-level light gas cannon. As the secondary light gas cannon reaches a certain muzzle energy, factors like the rise in temperature of the super-high-pressure gas make its structural and aerodynamic performance requirements more stringent. This is also one of the reasons why there is an urgent need to develop the third-level light gas cannon. The third-level light gas cannon, through the introduction of higher pressure and advanced structural design, can break through existing technological bottlenecks and provide more efficient firing capabilities.
The three-level light gas gun system includes multiple key components such as the launch chamber, diaphragm I, diaphragm II, diaphragm III, piston II, piston III, primary pump tube, secondary pump tube, two high-pressure sections, the projectile, and the launch tube. The three-level light gas gun can be divided into three main parts: the initial launch chamber compression stage, the primary light gas chamber, and the secondary light gas chamber launch stage. These parts work closely together to ensure an efficient and precise launch.
