Part Two: Project Background

CF Aviation Industry Group Co., Ltd. is a large-scale modern aircraft manufacturing enterprise integrating scientific research, production, testing, and flight trials. It is a key research and production base for fighter jets in China. The company primarily produces and processes aviation products and their components, ship-related equipment, and mechanical and electrical equipment parts.

The company generates a substantial amount of aluminum and titanium shavings during the production and manufacturing of aerospace parts. The accumulation of these waste shavings can lead to a disorganized factory space. Moreover, to reduce loss and improve the liquid yield during remelting, the company urgently needs a metal shaving briquetting machine to meet its recycling and remelting requirements.

Section III: Customer Requirements

Equipment Requirements: 1. Capable of processing 300kg/h of aluminum shavings and 150kg/h of titanium shavings, reducing the occupied area of both materials in the factory workshop; 2. Through the process of compressing fines into cakes, it improves the liquefaction rate of metal shavings in the furnace, thereby reducing furnace loss; 3. Titanium shavings, after multiple tests, are difficult to compress and mold, and require testing experiments; 4. Ensure that the compressed cakes are not easily dislodged and do not leak when stationary, meeting environmental protection standards; 5. Separate cutting oil from waste shavings and collect them centrally; 6. With limited space on the factory site, match suitable equipment to achieve full automation; 7. Design a reasonable layout plan based on the workshop area.

Part IV: Solutions

Material Testing

Due to the特殊性 of the titanium屑 material, we arranged for the customer to send the material to our Enpact factory for a pressing test. Test equipment: BM5012, operating pressure: 22MPA, single pressing time: 18s, cake diameter: 120mm.

2. Equipment Configuration Design

Based on customer requirements, the following design solutions are recommended:

Handle Titanium Shavings: Recommend the BM5011 Horizontal Metal Shavings Press with a pressure of 500 tons.

(2) Aluminum Chips Processing: Recommend the BM3114 Horizontal Metal Chips Briquetting Press with a pressure of 315 tons.

(3) Both sets of equipment supply the storage silo for centralized material storage and continuous feeding.

3. Site Planning and Design

Based on the on-site conditions, we have designed a production line layout and recommended a comprehensive iron chip processing solution, including an feeding conveyor + metal shavings briquetting machine + centralized feeding storage + discharge conveyor + chip liquid purification collection box.

The production line is equipped with chip removers and material storage, capable of automatically and precisely handling metal shavings. This achieves a fully automated operation from feeding to pressing. After the pressing of shredded aluminum and titanium, it reduces workshop space, improves the liquidation rate of remelting, and lowers the loss of metal shavings in the furnace. The entire processing line employs an integrated sealed design, complemented by three collection devices, ensuring no waste liquid or metal shavings leak during the production process.
