Part Two: Project Background

FSD Elevator Components (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. is a foreign enterprise specializing in the research, development, production, and processing of elevator and escalator components. During the production and processing of elevator parts, the company generates a substantial amount of cast iron chips, which contain cutting oil that is difficult to pass environmental inspections.

Therefore, there is an urgent need for a chip press oil extraction equipment for recycling processing.

Part Three: Customer Needs

Equipment Main Requirements: 1. Meet the production capacity of 1 ton of iron shavings per day; 2. Pre-crush chip-like iron shavings before baling; 3. Reduce the floor space occupied by cast iron shavings and iron chips in machine processing; 4. Prohibit leakage of cutting oil during the processing; 5. Achieve automation in iron shavings processing, with only 1-2 people needed on the配套 production line, reducing labor costs; 6. Treat the processed iron shavings cakes as general solid waste, meeting environmental protection inspection requirements; 7. Design a reasonable layout scheme based on the existing equipment layout in the workshop.

Part IV: Solutions

After multiple communications and on-site inspections with the client, we understood their objectives and recommended a comprehensive iron chip processing solution, which includes an upper feeding hoist, MSA-F600 single-axis crusher, BM-1612 briquetting press, centralized feeding silo, discharge conveyor, and chip coolant collection box.

Initially, based on the on-site实际情况, the production line layout design was conducted. The production line is equipped with material lifting machines, chip conveyors, and material storage, enabling automatic, timed, and quantified handling of metal chips. This achieves a fully automatic operation from feeding to pressing, and is complemented by a single-axis crushing machine to address the issue of long strip iron chips in the waste materials. After the cast iron chip pressing, the workshop space is reduced, and the cakes rest without any dripping of waste fluid, passing environmental inspections. The entire treatment line uses a fully sealed design and is equipped with four liquid collection devices, ensuring no waste fluids or metal chips leak during the production process.

Oiled cast iron chips, after being pressed into briquettes, can be treated as general solid waste, reducing processing costs; the waste oil recovery rate can reach 80%, and the recovered cutting oil can be filtered for secondary use, saving on the raw material costs of cutting oil.
