Primary Use

PVC products are generally categorized into two types: soft and hard. Hard PVC products are free of plasticizers, but soft PVC is a rigid plastic with a glass transition temperature of 80 to 85°C. The addition of plasticizers can lower the glass transition temperature, facilitating processing at lower temperatures. The amount of plasticizer added to the plastic is typically 30% to 70% of the PVC content. After the addition of plasticizers, stabilizers, lubricants, colorants, and fillers during processing, the specific applications of the processed PVC are as follows.

Profiles and extrusions are a significant consumer sector for our PVC, accounting for about 25% of the total PVC consumption. They are primarily used in the production of windows, doors, and energy-saving materials. Currently, the application of profiles and extrusions in China is experiencing substantial growth.

2. PVC Pipes

PVC piping is a major consumer sector, accounting for about 20% of its consumption. In our country, PVC (PE) piping and polypropylene (PP) piping have developed early on, offering a wide variety of types with excellent performance and a broad application range, holding a significant position in the market.

3. PVC film is the third-largest consumption sector for PVC, accounting for about 10% of its consumption. Using calendering machines, PVC can be processed into transparent or colored films of corresponding thickness. Films produced by this method are known as calendered films.

Pellet-shaped PVC material can also be blown into film using a blowing machine. The film produced by this method is called blow-molding film. This film is highly useful, as it can be processed into packaging bags, raincoats, tablecloths, curtains, and more through cutting and heat sealing. Broad transparent film is suitable for constructing greenhouses and plastic greenhouses, or as mulch film.

4. After mixing with stabilizers, lubricants, and fillers, PVC can be extruded through an extruder to produce various diameters of rigid pipes, non-standard pipes, and corrugated pipes, which can be used as downspouts, wire sleeves, and handrails, etc. The thin sheets rolled into sheets are then overlaid and heat-pressed into various thicknesses of rigid boards. The boards can be cut into the required shapes, but PVC electrodes are焊接 into various chemically resistant storage tanks, ducts, and hot air chambers.

5. General Soft PVC Products

The extruder can be used to produce hoses, cables, and wires; plastic sandals, soles, and slippers can be made by the injection molding machine with various molds.

6. PVC Packaging Materials

The product is used for packaging, primarily for various containers, films, and rigid materials. PVC containers are mainly used for producing mineral water, beverages, and cosmetic bottles, as well as for packaging finished oils.

7. PVC Wall Panels and Floors

The wall panels are primarily used as alternatives to aluminum wall panels. PVC tiles are mainly used as adhesives, fillers, and other components for hard flooring in airport waiting lounges and other locations, excluding a portion of PVC resin.

8. PVC Consumer Products

PVC products are ubiquitous in everyday life. PVC is used to create various faux leathers. PVC fabrics for clothing are typically absorbent (without coatings), such as raincoats, baby pants, and PVC. PVC is also used in numerous sports and entertainment products, like toys, records, and sports equipment.

The PVC industry is rapidly growing globally, with a promising outlook. All nations are optimistic about the potential of PVC and its environmental benefits. PVC is proving its unique advantages and functions, demonstrating that it is irreplaceable by any other product. Social development demands it, as does environmental protection. This is an inevitable trend in the progress of human civilization.
