    Polycarbonate, abbreviated as PPO, is a high-strength engineering plastic, invented by General Electric and one of the world's five major general engineering plastics. The other four include nylon and polyester, which we often hear about and use. It is used in industries such as electronics, electrical appliances, and automobiles, and has always been one of the core products monopolized by developed countries.

     

    In fact, polyetherimide is a high-performance plastic suitable for manufacturing heat-resistant, insulating, wear-resistant, transmission, medical, and electronic components. It can be used in high-temperature applications such as gears, fan blades, valves, and can substitute for stainless steel. It is also capable of producing parts like screws, fasteners, connectors, motor rotors, transformers, and more.

     

    For household appliances, components such as televisions, cameras, camcorders, air conditioners, heaters, and rice cookers are commonly used. In office equipment, they can be found in peripherals and parts like copiers, computer systems, printers, and fax machines. For instance, gears used for camera zoom are not suitable for metal gears, as they produce noise and affect the camera's performance; other plastics like polypropylene are also not usable. They are not durable and quickly break.

     

    Polyether's Performance Advantages

    Polystyrene ether is a widely used engineering material in some Chinese manufacturing enterprises. Due to the extensive application of polystyrene ether engineering materials, the advantages of its use cannot be overlooked. Overall, polystyrene ether engineering plastics mainly have the following benefits:

     

    Excellent physical properties

    Polystyrene engineering plastics offer excellent physical properties. These plastics have a low density and are non-toxic overall. They exhibit high mechanical strength. In practical applications, their wear resistance can be enhanced according to environmental changes, and they have a relatively low shrinkage rate during molding. Moreover, polystyrene oxides also possess certain heat resistance, which is a significant advantage over many general-purpose and engineering plastics that lack adequate heat resistance. The melting point of polyether engineering plastics is around 260°C, while polystyrene engineering plastics can operate continuously at temperatures up to 190°C. Currently, in China, polystyrene modified materials demonstrate outstanding heat resistance, making polystyrene engineering plastics widely used in various industries for production purposes.

     

    2. Excellent electrical performance

    Due to the strong non-polar groups in polyoxyalkene engineering plastics, their electrical properties remain relatively stable during actual applications. Moreover, they maintain excellent electrical performance by adapting to the frequency of temperature changes, almost unaffected by air temperature and humidity. This significantly enhances the work efficiency of relevant production personnel.

     

    Excellent acid and alkali resistance

    PolyetherModified PlasticDuring actual application, it demonstrates excellent resistance to acids and alkalis while maintaining good dimensional stability. Acid and alkali resistance is a prominent feature of polyetherimide modified plastics. As a result, polyetherimide modified plastics are widely used in the construction of certain industrial structural components. However, some polyetherimide modified plastics have poor solubility in the production process, prone to cracking or developing notches. This necessitates that relevant staff carefully control the environment during the use of polyetherimide modified plastics to ensure the orderly progression of the entire production process.
