Concept Introduction

2. ASA boasts excellent weather resistance.

If a polymer contains double bonds, these are easily opened by the intense ultraviolet light in strong sunlight, leading to a decrease in the polymer's aging resistance. Therefore, not only does it resist degradation, aging, and discoloration caused by UV radiation, but it also provides robust protection against decomposition or discoloration due to high temperatures in the atmospheric oxidation process. This significantly enhances the material's aging resistance and weatherability. Test results show that ASA's aging resistance is over 10 times that of ABS.

3. ASA exhibits excellent high-temperature resistance properties.

Primary Application 

Automotive Sector: After prolonged exposure to wind erosion, ASA does not fade to gray like treated weather-resistant ABS (due to the formation of many microscopic cracks and cavitation on the surface caused by wind erosion or water flow). Typical applications of ASA include external components like side mirrors, radiator grilles, tail plates, and lamp covers, which are subjected to harsh conditions such as sun exposure, rain, and strong winds. It has also gradually expanded to areas such as motorcycle dashboards, camping vehicles, small hulls, and surfboards.

Gardening Industry: ASA is proven particularly suitable for gardening irrigation equipment and lawn mower housing, etc.

Electrical & Electronic Field: Primarily used for durable equipment casings, such as sewing machines, telephones, kitchen appliances, satellite antennas, and other all-weather casings.

Building Sector: ASA/PVC blends are used for roof paneling and window materials; in this aspect, there is already over 10 years of practical application experience internationally.
