Screw conveyor

The shaftless screw conveyor is mainly used for wastewater treatment, papermaking, chemical industry waste, and other industries where strong adhesion materials are conveyed, such as paste-like, thick materials (e.g., chemical raw materials, waste paper pulp, malt, sludge, etc.) and materials prone to entanglement (e.g., household waste). Therefore, the shaftless screw conveyor is also known as the anti-entanglement conveyor and the waste treatment conveyor. The WLS (WLSY) shaftless screw conveyor operates on the same principle as a standard screw conveyor, differing only in structure with the presence or absence of a shaft. The materials used for shaftless screw conveyors include carbon steel and stainless steel.

Structure:

Primarily composed of the power unit, head assembly, housing, shaftless spiral, non-wearing lining plates, feed inlet, discharge outlet, cover (if required), base, etc.

The shaftless screw conveyor operates on the same principle as a standard screw conveyor: much like a rotating spiral shaft moves a nut along its axis, the spiral of a shaftless screw conveyor acts as the spiral shaft, while the material serves as the nut. When the spiral rotates continuously, so does the material. The spiral of a shaftless screw conveyor is a thicker strip-like blade, driven by the conveyor's drive end, with no shaft in the middle. It makes contact with the bottom lining plate inside the machine shell (sliding).
